Ciucas Peak (1954m) is the highest point of the Ciucas Massif, offering panoramic spectacular views (during the clear days, of course). For reaching it, we choose the trail that starts from Bratocea Pass (on DN1A – Brasov-Bucharest), and follows, then, Bratocea ridge line.

Once arrived în Tigăilor Saddle, we can admire beautiful rock formations, as Goliath and The Old Man with Sheep.

From here, we will have our final (and steeper) push to the summit. However, it will be very rewarding, as long as the views (both to the North and South) will leave us speechless. For lunch break, we will stop in a ”balcony”, in the proximity of the summit.

For our way back, we will follow, first, a different path (that leads to Ciucas mountain hut), but soon we will turn left to Tigăilor Saddle, where we re-enter into the trail followed in the morning.
