Baiului Mountains are popular, both for hikers and skiers, being an excellent observation platform for the surrounding mountains (Bucegi, Neamțului, Piatra Mare, Grohotiș, Ciucaș) and having some good ski slopes on its northern side. We will meet together in the car park, at the lower point of Azuga cable car (Sorica gondola), and we will go up to the higher station of gondola (start/finish point of our hike). From here, we will head off to the south, for a while, then we turn East, reaching, in order, the summits of Cazacu (1753m), Ceaușoaia (1615m) and Petru (1591m) . For the way back, we are going to follow, generally, same trails, with possibility of minor changes (depending of the specific conditions, at the moment of the tour). Finally, we will get again the gondola for returning to our vehicles and going home.
