Please be aware that all outdoor events are subject of weather forecast/conditions. The safety of all participants to these events is paramount: for that reason, the guide is entrusted to amend accordingly the program (by changing it, re-planning or even cancelling). Participants will be informed in time about any decision, and all money paid will be returned (or kept as a deposit for other future events).
Baiului Mountains in undecided season
Baiului Mountains are popular, both for hikers and skiers, being an excellent observation platform for the surrounding mountains (Bucegi, Neamțului, Piatra Mare, Grohotiș, Ciucaș) and having some good ski slopes on its northern side.
We will meet together in the car park, at the lower point of Azuga cable car (Sorica gondola), and we will go up to the higher station of gondola (start/finish point of our hike). From here, we will head off to the south, for reaching the highest summit of the day : Baiul Mare peak (1895m). For the way back, we are going to have an extension to the east, for reaching Ceaușoaia (1615m) and Cazacu (1753m) peaks.
Finally, we will get again the gondola for returning to our vehicles and going home.
