B\u0103tr\u00e2na"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The circuit leading us from Moieciu de Sus village, to Buc\u0219a Peak, and further to Strunga Saddle and B\u0103tr\u00e2na Peak, is another spectacular path along the western side of Bucegi Mountains. The views that opens all around, once we reach the alpine area, are very rewarding.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Route details:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"width: 100%; height: 517px; border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.outdooractive.com\/en\/embed\/808824397\/iframe?mw=false\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Time and place for meeting:<\/strong><\/span> at 08.00: <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/XpNW4RFVJZK5sSXz9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">near the barrier on B\u0103ng\u0103leasa Valley<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Some options for transport from Bra\u0219ov are available.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Equipment:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essentials<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Day pack (25 \u2013 35l) with waterproof liner<\/li>\n<li>Drink bottle \u2013 1 to 2 litre<\/li>\n<li>Packed lunch and snacks \u2013 pack more than you think you\u2019ll need<\/li>\n<li>Extra high energy snack food<\/li>\n<li>Fully charged mobile phone (and, optional, a light powerbank)<\/li>\n<li>Basic first aid kit including hand sanitiser<\/li>\n<li>Personal medication, (eg antihistamines, asthma medication, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Extra base layer and socks<\/li>\n<li>Rubbish bag<\/li>\n<li>Sunscreen and insect repellent<\/li>\n<li>Head torch\/torch and spare batteries<\/li>\n<li>Survival blanket to keep you warm in an emergency<\/li>\n<li>Whistle in case your split up or need help<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other stuff (optional, but recommended)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trekking poles (very useful)<\/li>\n<li>Buff\/Neck gaiter (for protection of your neck)<\/li>\n<li>Ultralight chair or sit pad<\/li>\n<li>Basic repair kit<\/li>\n<li>Multi-tool or pocket knife<\/li>\n<li>Bear Spray<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Clothing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Conditions can change so be prepared:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hiking boots with good ankle support and grip, or other sturdy footwear<\/li>\n<li>Hiking socks in polypropylene or wool<\/li>\n<li>Base layer: top and leggings in polypropylene\/wool, quick dry shorts or pants<\/li>\n<li>Mid layer: long sleeved top in wool or polar fleece \u2013 wear or pack depending on the weather<\/li>\n<li>Exterior layer\n<ul>\n<li>wind and water-proof jacket with hood \u2013 wear or pack depending on the weather<\/li>\n<li>waterproof over trousers, optional, but very recommended<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Gloves in polypropylene\/wool \u2013 wear or pack<\/li>\n<li>Sun hat or warm beanie \u2013 pack one and wear the other<\/li>\n<li>Sunglasses \u2013 wear or pack<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The circuit leading us from Moieciu de Sus village, to Buc\u0219a Peak, and further to Strunga Saddle and B\u0103tr\u00e2na Peak, is another spectacular path along the western side of Bucegi Mountains.
