The village is surrounded by Ciucas and Tataru Mountains, but, also, has access to Siriu Mountains (via Tatarutu ridge).<\/p>\n<p>This weekend is planned for the hikers having already some experience and a good fitness level (able to walk over 20km\/day with differences of elevation over 1000m, carrying a normal daypack).<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>day 1<\/strong> we will walk the loop of <strong>Tataru Mountain<\/strong>, with its two summits (Tataru Mic &#8211; 1412m and Tataru Mare &#8211; 1476m). Belonging to the bigger group of Buzaului Mountains, they are also considered (many times) just a part of Siriului Mountains.<\/p>\n<p>On day 1, our <strong>route numbers <\/strong>will be not so scaring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Distance: 16 km<\/li>\n<li>Difference of elevation: +\/- 740 m<\/li>\n<li>Estimated time on route: 6 hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a      <\/div>\n<p>On <strong>day 2<\/strong>, we will have a more difficult program, as long as we will hike a less known trail to <strong>Siriului Mountains<\/strong>, starting from Vama Buzaului. And yes, our plan is to reach all important landmarks: Malaia Peak &#8211; 1662m, The Eagles Lake and Gate of Winds.<\/p>\n<p>This time, even <strong>the numbers of the day<\/strong> look different:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Distance: 22 km<\/li>\n<li>Difference of elevation: over +\/- 1100 m<\/li>\n<li>Estimated time on route: 8-9 hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a
