DESCRIPTION:The circuit leading us from Moieciu de Sus village\, to Bucșa Peak\, and further to Strunga Saddle and Bătrâna Peak\, is another spectacular path along the western side of Bucegi Mountains. The views that opens all around\, once we reach the alpine area\, are very rewarding. \nRoute details: \n \nTime and place for meeting: at 08.00: near the barrier on Băngăleasa Valley \nSome options for transport from Brașov are available. \nEquipment: \nEssentials \n\nDay pack (25 – 35l) with waterproof liner\nDrink bottle – 1 to 2 litre\nPacked lunch and snacks – pack more than you think you’ll need\nExtra high energy snack food\nFully charged mobile phone (and\, optional\, a light powerbank)\nBasic first aid kit including hand sanitiser\nPersonal medication\, (eg antihistamines\, asthma medication\, etc)\nExtra base layer and socks\nRubbish bag\nSunscreen and insect repellent\nHead torch/torch and spare batteries\nSurvival blanket to keep you warm in an emergency\nWhistle in case your split up or need help\n\nOther stuff (optional\, but recommended) \n\nTrekking poles (very useful)\nBuff/Neck gaiter (for protection of your neck)\nUltralight chair or sit pad\nBasic repair kit\nMulti-tool or pocket knife\nBear Spray\n\nClothing \nConditions can change so be prepared: \n\nHiking boots with good ankle support and grip\, or other sturdy footwear\nHiking socks in polypropylene or wool\nBase layer: top and leggings in polypropylene/wool\, quick dry shorts or pants\nMid layer: long sleeved top in wool or polar fleece – wear or pack depending on the weather\nExterior layer\n\nwind and water-proof jacket with hood – wear or pack depending on the weather\nwaterproof over trousers\, optional\, but very recommended\n\n\n\n\nGloves in polypropylene/wool – wear or pack\nSun hat or warm beanie – pack one and wear the other\nSunglasses – wear or pack
